Cost reductions in every phase of the trial process have been made possible by technological improvements in the clinical trials sector. Recently, the industry has witnessed greater efficiencies in trial design, randomization, clinical supply management, and other areas as a result of web-based technologies. However, clinical teams don’t just need any technology to create these outcomes, they need the right technology for their study if they want to alleviate day-to-day stressors.
For example, one start-up biotech company needed a cost-efficient solution to address various randomization and clinical supply management challenges for its study that aimed to find a cure for multiple sclerosis. The plan was to conduct a study consisting of 500 patients at 80 sites in 11 countries throughout Europe. The study would also be offering three treatment regimens: the study drug, the placebo, and the comparator drug.
Discover what happened when the Fountayn Platform, including RTSM, was used to support the company’s two-year, Phase III clinical trial.
